My twin sister and I often do twinsy things. We live across the country from each other, but still manage to pull off twin moments without any prior discussion. Throwing caution to the wind one year, we decided to make a dress. From a pattern. Using a sewing machine. Did I mention that neither of us sew? We trotted off to the fabric store – Twin Foodie in Arkansas and me in Oregon. Not only did we pick out the same pattern, but we also picked out the exact same crushed burgundy velvet material.
I started making that gorgeous dress right before I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and finished it weeks later. I wore it exactly one time before tossing it into the back of the closet in favor of maternity clothes. My twin sister was pregnant at the same time, and we managed to deliver our daughters one day apart. We connected over the phone to find out we had both given our daughters the name Elizabeth. We nicknamed them the “twin cousins”.
Those “twin cousins” love smoothies. When all the cousins get together, we spend an afternoon having Smoothie Wars. The table is littered with every smoothie ingredient imaginable as cousins team up to blend the best smoothie and win the title Smoothie Queen or King.
Pomegranate Mixed Berry Smoothie is the winning recipe for your next Smoothie Wars. You’ll love the sweetness of the grapes, creaminess of the Greek yogurt and slight tartness of the pomegranate juice.
Twin Foodie Review: This fruit smoothie is the perfect snack to satisfy a sweet craving. My kids loved it! I plan to keep this healthy recipe nearby when the hot weather hits!
