Step 1: If you will not use your cilantro immediately, store it in the refrigerator with stems in a glass of water.
Step 2: Start with fresh cilantro. Rinse with water then lightly pat dry with a clean towel.
Step 3: Keep tie on cilantro stems or grasp firmly in one hand. Use the tongs of a fork to scrape the leaves off the stems.
Step 4: You end up with a beautiful pile of cilantro leaves.
Step 5: Push leaves together or roll into a pile. With a sharp knife, chop the leaves into smaller pieces.
